A little care goes a long way.
Our pieces are made from carefully chosen cotton and cotton-blend fabrics — soft, breathable and built to last. With the right care, your House of तारा pieces will stay beautiful wear after wear.

Washing
Machine wash
Cold water, 30°C max. Use a gentle or delicate cycle to protect the fabric.
Hand wash
Preferred for delicate pieces. Use cold water and a mild detergent.
Inside out
Always wash inside out to preserve colours, prints and embroidery.
Mild detergent
Use a gentle, colour-safe detergent. Avoid harsh chemicals or bleach.
Drying
- Line dry in shade — avoid direct sunlight which can fade colours over time
- Do not tumble dry — air drying keeps cotton soft and maintains shape longer
- Gently reshape while damp and lay flat or hang to dry
- Do not wring or twist — squeeze gently to remove excess water
Ironing
- Iron on low to medium heat while slightly damp for best results
- Iron inside out to protect prints and embroidery
- Use a pressing cloth for delicate fabrics or embellishments
- Do not iron directly on prints or decorative details
Storage
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight
- Fold cotton pieces rather than hanging for long-term storage to avoid stretching
- Keep in a breathable cotton bag if storing for a long period
- Ensure pieces are completely dry before storing to prevent mildew
Baby pieces — Mom + Mini range
- Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle or hand wash
- Use a baby-safe, fragrance-free detergent
- Do not use fabric softeners — they can irritate sensitive baby skin
- Line dry in shade — tumble drying can shrink baby clothing
- Iron on low heat if needed, avoiding any poppers or fastenings
Pro tip — Wash your House of तारा pieces separately for the first wash to prevent any colour transfer. After that they're safe to wash with similar colours.
