If you are between two sizes, we recommend sizing up — our pieces are designed with a relaxed, comfortable fit in mind.

✿ A note on handcrafted clothing: Every piece at House of तारा is made by hand with love and care. As with all handcrafted garments, there may be a slight variation of 0.5–1 inch in the final piece. The measurements in this size guide refer to your body measurements — not the finished garment dimensions. If you order as per the size chart, your piece will fit you well. We appreciate your understanding — this natural variation is the mark of something truly handmade. ✦

🌿 A note on cotton & first washes: All our pieces are crafted from 100% pure cotton — a fabric that breathes, softens, and loves you back. Cotton is known to shrink slightly in the first 1–2 washes, which means your garment may feel a little roomy when you first receive it. This is completely intentional. We account for this shrinkage in our sizing so that after the first wash, your piece settles into its perfect fit. We recommend a gentle cold wash for the first few times. ✦

How to measure: For chest — measure around the fullest part of your bust, keeping the tape parallel to the floor. For waist — measure around your natural waistline, the narrowest part of your torso.

Mom + Mini — Baby Sizes

How to measure: For chest — wrap the tape around the fullest part of the baby's chest, just under the armpits. For length — measure from the top of the shoulder down to where you want the garment to end.
